To mark International Women’s Day, the United Nations, the European Commission and Bozar present the film Nadia.

How can you rebuild yourself when you lose your father and your homeland forever at the age of 8? Nadia Nadim, whose dad was killed by the Taliban in 2000, has embarked on this quest, soon to be saved by her passion for Football. She became a striker on the national team of her adoptive country, Denmark, then for the Paris-Saint-Germain women’s team. Nadia, having achieved football stardom, wants to return to Afghanistan to find out more about her father’s fate.

Anissa Bonnefont was born in Paris in 1984. After studying theatre in New York, she took her first steps as a director and producer with the film Wonder Boy. She is currently writing her next film, an adaptation of Jim's comic book One Night in Rome.

The screening will be followed by a debate and Q&A with Anissa Bonnefont and other speakers to be announced shortly.
