‘Nowruz’

For more than 3000 years, the Persian new year’s festival Nowruz, literally “the new day”, has marked the beginning of spring. It is an occasion for millions of people around the world, from the Balkans to Central Asia and from the Middle East to the shores of the Black Sea, to come together, dance, make music and honour the awakening of nature. Bozar celebrates this annual highlight with a concert in which international ensembles give their local culture a voice of its own.
