Nowruz

For more than 3,000 years, the Persian New Year festival Nowruz, literally ‘the new day’, has marked the beginning of spring. It is a time when millions of people worldwide – from the Balkans to Central Asia, and from the Middle East to the shores of the Black Sea – come together to celebrate the reawakening of nature through dance and music. Bozar honours this annual highlight with a concert in which international ensembles give voice to their local cultures. For this edition, we welcome two ensembles from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
