The String Trio by Sándor Veress, a student of Kodály and Bartók, is one of Ensemble Octurn’s personal favorites. The masterpiece is submerged in a jazzy bath by using a string trio as an additional instrument, which opens up new melodic perspectives. In this way, the original string trio version can interact with the Octurn variations. Accompanied by the Dutch clarinetist Joris Roelofs, the concert will undoubtedly be exceptional.
