‘Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal & Rafael Payare’

The ominous trumpet solo at the beginning, the moving Adagietto and, above all, the great richness of melody make Mahler's Fifth Symphony one of his most memorable compositions. After several symphonies with vocal elements, for his Fifth, he opts again in favour of purely instrumental work. This impressive symphony is in good hands with the prestigious Orchestre de Montréal, conducted by the Venezuelan talent Rafael Payare. Before that, Mozart's Fifth Violin Concerto by German-American Augustin Hadelich is a finger-licking treat.
