‘PAAVO JÄRVI & ESTONIAN FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA’

18 Jan.'18
- 20:00

It is difficult to imagine anybody more suited to celebrate Estonia's 100th anniversary than Paavo Järvi. As the head of the Estonian Festival Orchestra, the conductor will demonstrate his country's reputation as a breeding ground for talent. A fact attested to by two works – including the world-famous Fratres – by one of the most distinguished contemporary composers, Arvo Pärt, who has succeeded in balancing contemporary music, spirituality and accessibility. The Estonian Festival Orchestra will also be performing the world premiere of the Ninth Symphony, written by Erkki-Sven Tüür, another leading representative of Estonia's vibrant musical scene.
