Seoul, 1933. Phantom, a spy working for the resistance group Shadow Corps, is working in the shadows. In order to stop the Shadow Corps’ assassination attempt on newly appointed Governor-general, chief guard Kaito lays a trap to smoke out the “Phantom” from within the Japanese General Government. A handful of people come under suspicion of being the Phantom, and they find themselves locked inside a remote hotel…

Lee Hae-young (born 1973) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. Lee wrote and directed his debut feature Like a Virgin (2006) (with director Lee Hae-jun), which won several awards for Best New Director and Best Screenplay. Phantom is his the fifth movie, following Foxy Festival, The Silenced and Believer. Since his days as a writer, he shone in projects dealing with unique topics, and stories about characters who overcome difficulties.
