In 2012, hundreds of thousands of Touareg civilians flee war-embroiled Northern Mali. The film follows the story of Disco, a Touareg singer engaged for peace, over a period of 10 years. Through her life we discover the challenges facing Touareg communities and the causes of the war in Mali. Caravane Touareg is a film by Marlène Rabaud and Arnaud Zajtman, produced by Esprit Libre Production and Magellan Films, in co-production with the Centre for Cinema of Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles, Wallonie Image Production, with the support of the Tax Shelter and Teledistributers of Wallonia, and the assistance of the General Direction of the Belgian Development and Cooperation of Belgium.

Marlène Rabaud and Arnaud Zajtman worked in Africa as press correspondents for the BBC and France 24 from 2000 to 2010. Starting 2010, they dedicated themselves to documentary film making and reporting: Kafka au Congo is their first film. In 2011 they produced  Meutre à Kinshasa, Qui a tué Laurent Kabila? Follwed by Adieu l’Enfer (2012) and African business in China (2013). Adieu L’Enfer won the Public Liberties and Human Rights Award at the Al Jazeera international documentay film festival. Caravane Touareg is their latest documentary.
