The four French musicians of the Quatuor Arod may have only played together since 2013, they are already counted among the greats.  Since their victory at the ARD International Competition in 2016, the quartet has been invited to the most prestigious venues including the Philharmonie de Paris, the Musikverein in Vienna and the Berliner Philharmonie. What’s more, BOZAR crowned them Rising Stars of the 2018-2019 season. As part of Beethoven Year, they perform two quartets from Opus 59, named after Andrey Kirillovich Razumovsky. At the request of this count, Beethoven implemented several Russian melodies which lend the work a great energy. By casting aside convention and plumping for originality, he made the Razumovsky quartets much more personal in comparison with his previous collection.
