Ray Lema - Laurent de Wilde : Riddles
As a 74 years old pianist, Ray Lema continues his journey in search of rich musical and cultural encounters. His visits to China, North Africa, Brazil, America and Europe have strongly influenced his eclectic musical language. The fifteen year younger Laurent de Wilde also followed his own path. As a jazz pianist, he did not hesitate to open up to electro, slam or reggae and to enter the world of theatre and documentary film. In 2016, the two musicians recorded the album Riddles. Through ten tracks Lema and de Wilde show they like playing and dancing together without stepping on each other's toes. They create rhythms and melodies in which a thousand unexpected musical colours blossom.
