Created in 2024, Voir, toucher, s'aimer fort is the first choreographic work by Renaud Dallet. The young dancer and choreographer, a graduate of the EHESS in Arts and Languages and a former student of the choreographic master’s programme at Charleroi Danse, explores on stage the vocabulary of two intergenerational bodies. Inspired by his encounters in a psychiatric hospital, this duet investigates the relationship with the other as an alternative way of being in the world, beyond standardised or conventional movements. The dialogue between the bodies unfolds through struggle, mistrust, solidarity, love, mimicry, and adaptation.
Accompanied by the harp of Ange Halliwell and set within a scenography by Darius Dolatyari-Dolatdoust, the performance evokes a landscape of bodies and water, both fluid and stirred, inviting attention to what connects us and to our capacity for empathy.
This performance is part of the CARE – Culture for Mental Health programme, supported by Creative Europe, and has included various opportunities for exchanges and workshops with the residents of Maison Gertrude, a care and art centre located in the Marolles district of Brussels.
