Resonant Rooms: Eric Thielemans

During Resonant Rooms, you move from room to room as part of an artist-curated evening – which suits drummer and percussionist Eric Thielemans down to the ground. He has long moved uninhibitedly between jazz, free improvisation, experimental music and performance, driven by the idea of resonance: “Resonance is a culmination of my life in and with music, wherein I explored, and continue to explore, the many embodied ways in which we connect ourselves to both our inner field of experience and the outer world in which we exist.” For this edition, Thielemans has invited an exceptional group of musicians to Brussels, including Oren Ambarchi and Charlemagne Palestine, with whom he performs in a thrilling trio. The kaleidoscopic future-folk duo Organza Ray, amongst other guests, will also appear during an evening filled with drones, percussion and improvisation.
