Resonant Rooms: Merope

During Resonant Rooms, you move from room to room as part of an artist-curated evening. On 24 April, Merope will be handed the keys to the Palace. Indrė Jurgelevičiūtė (LT) and Bert Cools (BE) have a wide circle of musical friends; their understated, atmospheric music is deeply rooted in collaboration. Just as they did for their concert in 2024, they are bringing multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily with them. Chilean violinist Eli Wewentxu is also on the line-up with a solo set centred on his Mapuche culture, while the music of American keyboardist Surya Botofasina is likewise rooted in heritage. The experimental musician Ugnė Uma, like Jurgelevičiūtė, has Lithuanian ancestry and a bold, adventurous spirit. Finally, M I M I and nosedrip will perform at the afterparty.
