History of Oil Painting

Step into History of Oil Painting, the new creation of Romeo Castellucci in BOZAR. Shrouded in white curtains, his place of contemplation contains a shrine upon which rests the hair of a prostitute. She entrusted a piece of herself to the artist in exchange for money. A contract that forms a bridge to the relationship between painter and model in the time of Caravaggio and Theodoor van Loon.

From 28 November till 3 December, Castellucci will be presenting La Vita Nuova, a new performance-installation in co-production with BOZAR at KANAL-Centre Pompidou.
