Bozar Bassment #2

NVST & Mika Oki
The Swiss DJ and producer NVST began her career at illegal raves in Lausanne, experiences that shaped her high-energy approach to club music. More recently, she has made her mark behind the microphone, performing vocals for her own compositions. Franco-Japanese Mika Oki, who is responsible for the visuals, also brings a distinctive background to the table, one that spans sculpture and electroacoustic music. Both artists, who have made Brussels their home, will jointly open the new edition of Bozar Bassment with a new live AV show.

Saint Abdullah, Eomac & Rebecca Salvadori
A Forbidden Distance is an audiovisual project that explores the profound relationship between personal identity and displacement. This unique performance piece brings together the Iranian-Canadian brothers Mohammad and Mehdi Saint Abdullah, Irish sound designer and musician Ian McDonnell (Eomac), and the London-based Italian-Australian video artist Rebecca Salvadori. Family videos, spoken word and documentation of the creative process engage in a dialogue with electronic poetry.
