‘See Festival: Acetobă’

‘Acid drums’. That is how you could translate Acetobă. An apparently simple wordplay in Romanian – but this new project from Radu Pieloiu likes to test the limits of its name in an experimental live performance. In his latest creation, the Romanian drummer brings together electronic instruments to create an almost hypnotising experience. The experimentation is not confined to the music, but is brought to the live act too, drawing on lost or unknown places in our ever-shifting moods.
