‘Selvhenter – spëcht "Triptyques"’

30 Apr.'24
- 20:00

Since their formation in Copenhagen in 2010, Selvhenter has stood out for its unique line-up: two drum sets, a trombone put through a bass amplifier and a sax that sounds almost unrecognizable due to a myriad of sonic manipulations. Selvhenter's music is an overwhelming experience where powerful polyrhythms, pop-like melodies and inventive sonic textures go hand in hand. Free improvisation fuses with experimental electronic music, post-punk and noise. On their new LP Mesmerizer, the quartet explores this unprecedented world like never before.

Spëcht, formerly known as Hands in Motion, is considered Belgium's most fascinating percussion trio. The trio virtuosically combines acoustic instruments with electronic effects. Instruments from all over the world blend together in their musical universe: darbuka, doholla, udu, gongs, kalimbas, bendirs, etc. At Bozar they will present their new album Triptyques. Spëcht envisions an immersive journey into uncharted musical territories. Prepare yourself for a surprising concert that oscillates between catchy grooves and intoxicating trance.
