Back on Bozar’s sofa for a new edition of our Sofa Sessions! An intimate moment of exchange between artists and audience, in an intergenerational dialogue about beauty and ugliness echoing the Bellezza e Bruttezza and Picture Perfect exhibitions.
Sofa Session #3 will feature Martha Da’ro (aka Martha Canga Antonio), a Belgian multidisciplinary artist, singer, actress, and director of Angolan origin, as well as Crystallmess (aka Christelle Oyiri), a French producer, DJ, and artist.
Before taking your seat for the discussion, let yourself be inspired by a visit of the Picture Perfect exhibition. An introductory tour will be offered by Tinhinane Hessani in French.
Join us on Bozar’s sofa for an engaging evening with Sofa Session #3! Christelle Oyiri, DJ and visual artist, and Martha Da’ro, singer and actor, invite you to dive into an intense conversation about beauty, love and power in public life. How do these three forces shape our lives—online, in the media, and in our collective imagination? For them, music and art hold the answers: they are spaces of liberation, tools to transform representation, and pathways to a deeper self-love.
This session promises a deep dive into the unseen narratives of contemporary aesthetic culture, youth subcultures, media, identity, and diasporic stories.
