‘St. Louis Symphony Orchestra & Stéphane Denève’

With his extraordinary keyboard skills and amiable personality, Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson has conquered the music world over the past three years with three successful albums on the prestigious Deutsche Grammophon label. At Bozar, he will perform Edvard Grieg's extremely difficult Piano Concerto, in which he incorporates folk influences from his native Norway.  The prestigious American St. Louis Symphony Orchestra will complete the performance with Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances, his last composition in which the Russian master looks back on his life in a nostalgic way with quotes from his earlier works.
