Interpreted by Suso Sáiz and Echo Collective
The EUROPALIA Biennale is focusing on Spain in 2025: the land of Goya, flamenco and Manuel de Falla. Bozar and EUROPALIA have coupled the Spanish multi-instrumentalist Suso Sáiz with the Brussels-based Echo Collective. Sáiz has been a leading light of the Spanish experimental music scene since the late 70s, patching together layers of texture – with guitars and by purely acoustic means – into a solid soundscape. The musicians of Echo Collective have called in extra string players to offer a post-classical riposte to Sáiz with the voice and harp. Two nationalities, two generations and an unending source of inspiration.
