With an elephant's ivory tusk as the protagonist, Those That, at a Distance, Resemble Another meditates upon the endless tactility of museological and ecological conservation. It invites us to reflect upon forms of representation, replicas, and embodiments of various materials, disciplines, and institutions. “A gripping, mesmerising restoration drama which uses a series of close-ups of hands to tell a powerful story about how natural resources are preserved and transformed” (Sight & Sound Magazine).

Argentinian-British artist and filmmaker Jessica Sarah Rinland has had her work exhibited in numerous international museums. She has received numerous other awards, including Special Mentions at Locarno and San Sebastián. Her latest full-length feature film, Monologo Colectivo, won the Best International Film award at Cinéma du Réel. Bozar present a Close-up on this remarkable new voice in cinema.
