‘Three Rooms’

Amal Omran (Syria)

Three Rooms is a live film which simultaneously plays out in three different locations: Istanbul, London and Paris. Syrian actress Amal Omran had planned on making a play with Hatem Hadawe and Kathryn Hamilton, but political shifts made it impossible. Two performers couldn’t get hold of a visa, but rather than replacing them with other actors, they try to find ways to bridge the physical distance. Three Rooms invites you into the intimate, day-to-day goings on which you are left with when your life is restricted to one room. This is a performance about the irreplaceability of people, and the impossibility of sharing their experiences without their physical presence.
