‘Tracking the future’

30 Mar.'22
- 16:00

Young people and the train: understanding today and anticipating tomorrow.

The train plays an important role in the European Commission's Green Deal. Sustainable travel is one of the many steps towards a climate-neutral Europe. For example, 2021 was declared the European Year of Rail with the aim of promoting long train journeys. 2022, in turn, is dedicated to young people. By organising various youth activities, Europe is aiming to integrate the voice of young people into policy-making. As part of EUROPALIA TRAINS & TRACKS and with the support of the European Commission, we are inviting our European young people to Bozar. During round-table discussions, they will come up with advice around sustainable travel and the train. They will then present their ideas to Belgian and European policy-makers in a public debate.
We will close the evening with a performance by the award-winning slam poet Lisette Ma Neza, who will be inspired by the round-table discussions.
