Under the Fig Trees - Erige Sehiri

Amid the fig trees during the summer harvest, young women and men discover new feelings, flirt, try to understand one another, and form, and sometimes flee from, deeper relationships.

Erige Sehiri is a French-Tunisian director and producer. Through her production company, Henia, she develops auteur documentaries that have received awards at Visions du Réel, IDFA and Cinémed. Under the Fig Trees is her first feature film which had its world premiere at the Directors’ Fortnight section in Cannes (2022).
