A Voice From Ireland - Emmet Cahill

Ireland will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the second half of 2026. To mark this occasion, the Irish Group of the "Association Femmes d’ Europe", with the support of the Embassy of Ireland, Belgium, organises a Charity Gala Concert, which will take place in the iconic Henry Le Boeuf Hall. The concert will initially focus on Irish emigration to the New World, prompted by the Great Famine of the mid-19th century, and will then expand to encompass universal themes of exile and separation, solidarity and compassion, freedom and hope. Irish music will take centre stage, featuring traditional instruments such as the Uilleann pipes alongside selections from opera and musical theatre. A wonderful musical evening lies ahead.
