VR FILM SCREENING : What Remains - Ukrainian VR

10 Nov.'26

Join us for the November 2026 edition of VR Film Screening, Bozar’s monthly event dedicated to immersive storytelling. This edition turns its focus to lived experiences of conflict and resilience in Ukraine, offering intimate perspectives on war, memory, and human connection.

Shelter, directed by Sjors Swierstra and co-directed by Ivanna Khitsinska, is a VR documentary that immerses viewers in everyday moments across Ukraine during wartime. From a maternity ward in Kyiv to a soldier’s funeral in Lviv, from frontline preparations to an orchestra performing in a Kharkiv basement, the film reveals fragments of shared humanity within spaces shaped by conflict. It invites viewers to stand alongside those living through war and to reflect on its profound human cost.

Fresh Memories: The Look by Ondrej Moravec and Volodymyr Kolbasa is an immersive VR experience inspired by Marina Abramović’s The Artist Is Present. Set in war-torn Kharkiv, it invites you to look into the eyes of people who have lost their homes and places tied to memory, asking what such a silent exchange can evoke—grief, empathy, or hope.

VR Film Screening at Bozar is designed to be welcoming and accessible. Attentive guides will be on hand to ensure you have a seamless experience.

Book your tickets now and immerse yourself in a unique cinematic VR journey.
