‘Walk With Me - Julie Carlier’

6 Feb.'21
- 15:00

Online

Our exhibitions are open, but only for individual visitors at the moment. The on-site visit with Julie Carlier is cancelled, but will be replaced by an online alternative. More information will follow soon.

In the Walk With Me series, a guest speaker from beyond the walls of BOZAR takes you on a personal stroll through the exhibition. More than just a tour, it’s a journey with a personal story relating to such themes as gender, religion, cultural identity and sexuality. Sometimes subtle, often radical, and always interesting.

Julie Carlier is a deaf entrepreneur in charge of MUSK, a start-up that aims to make information accessible to deaf people in a society that sidelines the issue of deafness. She is also a guide, teacher, translator, camera operator, picture editor, illustrator, interpreter, trainer... Julie Carlier campaigns against the daily discrimination faced by this minority, and to highlight the richness of sign language.
