Senegalese legend Youssou N’Dour and Beninese icon Angélique Kidjo have been among the most influential voices of their continent for more than four decades. They also share the same starting point: music as a tool for connection and engagement. Her engagement goes beyond the message she brings on stage; through her Batonga foundation, she helps vulnerable teenage girls in Africa grow into independent women.
