Perspective

Perspective is a new project for young people, created with young people, organised by Bozar and Odyssée asbl. Its aim is to bring young people from Brussels neighbourhoods where access to art and culture is not always obvious or accessible, closer to art, culture, and the city itself. Along the way, they discover talents they may not even have realised they had. Step by step, the project opens up new perspectives for their future.

This new generation gets a behind-the-scenes look at Bozar and meets the people who make it run every day: from technical staff and front-of-house teams to programming and communications. The young participants do not simply observe, they actively take part wherever possible: through internships, front-of-house support, or by helping prepare and set up events. At the same time, something grows in the other direction too: Bozar gets to know the young people better, their talents, their view of the city, and their everyday experiences of life in Brussels.

Perspective is built on encounter and trust. Young people are not passive participants, but active partners in the artistic process. Together with artists, creators, and Bozar staff, they collaborate on new stories and creative projects.

Odyssée asbl makes these encounters possible. Drawing on many years of experience working with young people who may face challenges at school or in their daily environment, Odyssée works alongside them and their wider network to create connection, build trust, and above all, reignite a desire to discover, learn, and look ahead.
