A video odyssey to Alexandria

Curators talk about their highlights in the exhibition

An atypical exhibition about a unique place. 'Alexandria: Past Futures' approaches the Egyptian city from two angles. Archaeological artefacts show a cosmopolitan, ever-changing metropolis, while contemporary art works take a critical view on the city of today and the legends built around it. From ancient frescoes to digital gorgons, our curators highlight some of their favourite pieces and stories.
