William Kentridge

William Kentridge is onze eerste Grand Invité. Elk seizoen nodigen we een kunstenaar uit om het programma mee vorm te geven: met een tentoonstelling, maar ook door samen te werken met een nieuwe generatie kunstenaars. Bij Kentridge gebeurt dat via The Centre for the Less Good Idea, een artistieke werkplek in Johannesburg waar het creatieve proces centraal staat.

I make drawings and sometimes the drawings are filmed and become animated films. Sometimes there are performers in front of the animated film and they become theatre or opera. So it becomes a drawing in four dimensions.
