Homage to Camille Saint-Saëns. In the 19th century, the French composer enjoyed an international reputation which extended as far as the United States. Pianists Claire Chevallier and Jos van Immerseel, who has abandoned the head of his group Anima Eterna Brugge for the occasion, invite us to once again enjoy his rich and varied oeuvre, in chamber format for the occasion. The programme includes some of his best known works, such as the Carnival of the Animals, a bestiary which takes a humorous look at the world of music, and the Danse macabre, celebrated by Satan and Death.
