Everything but a classical concert evening awaits you when Barbara Hannigen and the piano sisters Katia and Marielle Labèque share the stage. In the company of video artist Netia Jones and the French composer and sound artist David Chalmin, they bring the mystical world of the medieval composer and mystic Hildegard von Bingen to life in a magical way. Electric fields is an overwhelmingly multimedia staged concert featuring von Bingen's meditative music complemented by works by the baroque greats Barbara Strozzi and Francesca Caccini, and the contemporary sounds of David Chalmin and Bryce Dessner, guitarist with The National. Three virtuoso musicians and five extraordinary composers guarantee an immersive total experience in our main hall.
