A Belgian writer, Dutch speaking and Francophile, Bart Van Loo is an unrivalled storyteller.

His conference will focus on the subject of his last book: The Burgundians: A Vanished Empire

Erudite and passionate, Van Loo will plunge the audience into the epic struggles – military, political and artistic – of the Dukes of Burgundy.

He will tell the stories of intrepid and ambitious dukes, whose powerful and splendid realm attracted the admiration and envy of Europe, and whose reign marked a glorious period in the region.
