‘Belgian Cybeles, theater en dance performance by Binfikir’

Young Belgian girls of Turkish origin are searching for their female identity in an environment of double expectations of both Turkish and Belgian communities. Binfikir Theatre Group brings together eight young Belgian girls of Turkish origin with three artists to express their search through art. The Anatolian goddess Kybele is the mother goddess who is not only responsible for fertility and care, she is above all a goddess to whom one can turn for protection. She sympathises with them and still shows them the way, as she has done for a long time in the history of the homeland!
