Under the name BONOM artist Vincent Glowinski has been painting his city for more than a decade now. His gigantic skeletons and melancholy figures pop up in the most unexpected places. In the book Bonom, Le singe boiteux (published by CFC/ISELP) his sketches and drawings are placed alongside the work of Ian Dykmans. This photographer has been following Glowinsky for years in order to capture the daredevil feats the artist embarks upon in order to create his urban art. Dykmans’ resolutely analogue way of working makes Bonom’s creations even more timeless and mysterious, and gives his extremely dangerous nocturnal escapades the aura of voyages of discovery from times gone by.
