She is Russian, a brilliant young cellist, BBC New Generation Artist for the 2018 to 2020 seasons, has performed with the greatest (including Valery Gergiev and Heinrich Schiff), and, last but not least, is the artist recommended by violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja for the 25th anniversary of the Bozar Next Generation concerts. He is Swiss, a talented pianist and composer, winner of numerous international competitions in both capacities, and one of the artists taken under the wing of Sir András Schiff. Apart from their youth and friendship, Anastasia Kobekina and Jean-Selim Abdelmoula share an immense love for music and the creative act of performance. For this concert, these two future great names of the international scene bring their talents together for a Franco-Russian programme that combines the melodic grace of Debussy, Franck, and Paul Juon, a little-known composer of the turn of the century.
