‘Broadway - Christos Massalas’

This film will be screened extra muros at Cinema Galeries.

Bozar presents Broadway, the first feature film by Greek film director Christos Massalas. The projection is in partnership with Cinema Galeries, during their ‘Heure d'hiver Festival’, and the Thessaloniki Film Festival. Broadway will be the first movie projected Extra Muros in Cinema Galeries. The director will also be present during the screening to share his experiences in the Greek film industry and will be interviewed by Maria Patakia (Hellenic Cercle).

Nelly, a young runaway dancer, takes refuge in Broadway, an abandoned leisure complex in Athens squatted by a gang of pickpockets. When she joins their group, a mysterious individual pops up, turning both of their lives upside down.

Greece born Christos Massalas (1986) studied Film in London. His short films have received numerous prizes and have been selected at international film festivals. After his short-film Copa-Loca, which premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2017, Christos launched himself into his first long feature project, Broadway.
