Discover artworks in augmented reality

In the framework of the exhibition Histoire de ne pas rire. Surrealism in Belgium, Bozar developed an artistic extra muros trail around the Centre for Fine Arts.

We invited five artists to create artworks visible in Augmented Reality (AR), floating around the Mont des Arts neighbourhood. You will get to discover eight surrealistic inspired artworks on the façades of buildings in and around Bozar’s building. You experience the entire AR journey through an app, which you can download on App Store or Android Play Store.

Artists:

  • Annabelle Binnerts
  • Ghita Skali & Salim Bayri
  • Laure Prouvost
  • Valérie Mréjen

How to find the digital artworks:

You can start your journey from anywhere in the city, or from inside Bozar, where you have a starting point in our main Hall. There, you can scan a QR code guiding you to the download of the ‘BozAR Surrealism’ app on App Store or Android Play Store.

Open the BozAR app and start browsing through the tabs to find :

  • The presentation of the programme.
  • A map with pins showing the locations of the artworks in the neighborhood.
  • The AR screen with which you will be able to see the artworks.
  • A tab bringing you back to our website.
