Peter Holvoet-Hanssen & Joachim Badenhorst

Troubadour and former Antwerp city poet Peter Holvoet-Hanssen presents his new collection, De Wolkendragers, at BOZAR. With the aid of jazz musician and improvisational talent Joachim Badenhorst, a.k.a. Zero Years Kid, he brings his book to life in a show of the same name, full of poetry, song lyrics and adventurous music. They show us a future in which fear is banished and poetry bubbles up from the crosscurrent.
Holvoet-Hanssen has often explored the limits of being a poet. His work proves that poetry can be a connecting element for mankind and the world. He has worked with disabled people and has been a ‘poetry doctor’ at an Antwerp hospital. He wrote some of the poems in his new collection together with psychiatric patients.

De Wolkendragers is an intimate performance about the healing power of poetry.
