New Year's Concert

True to tradition, Philippe Herreweghe says goodbye to the old year to the tones of Strauss's jaunty waltzes and loveable polkas. This time, his programme also includes some Italian fireworks in the form of Gioachino Rossini's opera overtures, which teem with musical ideas and should get the new year off to a flying start with some unbeatable climaxes.
