Talk & screening documentary
Eric Andersen is a name often mentioned in the same breath as such famous contemporaries as Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell and is one of the most poetic voices to come out of the United States. The legendary singer-songwriter worked with Lou Reed and closer to home with Marc Didden and Roland Van Campenhout.
BOZAR is pleased to present the Belgian premiere of the documentary film The Songpoet, a unique insight into the life and work of the inexhaustible creative source that is Eric Andersen. Before the screening Andersen will be discussing his literary inspirations and the notion of the folksinger as a modern-day troubadour in whom music and poetry meet with the writer and academic Geert Buelens.
