The spontaneous naturalism and longtakes in Korean director Kim Dae-hwan’s second feature film serve as a subtle façade for the piercing insight and humor in this story of an early-thirty-something couple who navigate through social pressure and the stagnation of their careers and relationship.
Su-hyeon, an art teacher, and Ji-young, a temp worker, have been living together for six years. To his surprise, Su-hyeon discovers that Ji-young hasn’t started her period yet. One evening, the couple goes to Ji-young’s parents’ new house. However, the housewarming party quickly gets out of hand.
