George Frideric Handel wrote genuine classics: Water Music – first performed on a boat on the Thames – and the Hallelujah Chorus. But these famous works are only the tip of the iceberg. This season, Bozar will explore his exceptionally rich oeuvre. Besides the opera Alceste, you will hear moving oratorios from throughout his career: from the early Il Trionfo del Tempo and the incomparable Messiah to the late masterpiece Theodora.
