Gidon Kremer

Not only is Gidon Kremer a great performer, both as a soloist and in chamber music, but he is also an ambassador for today's music, commissioning new work and backing composers such as Sofia Gubaidulina, Giya Kancheli, and Victor Kissine. In this concert at the head of his Kremerata Baltica, he presents a typically "Kremerian" programme that focuses on Bach, including both Bach's keyboard concertos and contemporary works composed in reference to or as tributes to the great master.
