Mozart & Bach
Due to health reasons, the concert of Grigory Sokolov has unfortunately been cancelled. We wish him a speedy recovery. If you bought one or several ticket(s) for this concert, you will be contacted by email.
Grigory Sokolov has a special relationship with the Belgian public. We are happy to welcome the Maestro every year, to share a wonderful musical experience with him. On 12 December, the magic returns, as Grigory Sokolov will design his programme around the music of Mozart. In a way, the suspense is part of the game, since, as usual, he does not reveal his choice of works beforehand, only providing us with a glimpse of what to expect. We will have to wait until the beginning of the season to find out his full programme! His recent concerts in Bozar have renewed our conviction that Sokolov is one of the greatest pianists of our times and that his inner world, which he transposes into music, serves as an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
Amnesty International is a global movement of people fighting for human rights. 10 December 2023 will mark the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. A whole range of rights are based on this landmark text, which must be protected today. By giving this recital in aid of Amnesty International two days after this anniversary date, Grigory Sokolov is reiterating his attachment to fundamental rights and the importance he attaches to defending them. The organisation thanks him warmly.
