‘Happy Rebirth Day !’

Every year, artist Michelangelo Pistoletto pleads for the rebirth of society. During the ‘Rebirth Day’, performances and events inspired by Pistoletto’s symbol of the Third Paradise are organised around the world. This symbol is an adaptation of the mathematical sign of infinity, and consists of three circles, the central circle symbolising the reconciliation between the intelligence of mankind and nature.

For this year’s edition, we invited visual artist Raffaela Crispino to create a performative work that should have taken place in the Horta Hall on December 21st. Unfortunately, due to the new set of health regulations, the interactive piece was forced to be postponed to a later date.

While this global epidemic continues and spares no continent, it seems important to us to remember that it is also the symptom of a diseased ecosystem, the same one that Michelangelo Pistoletto calls to treat and protect.
