Honor de Cavalleria - Albert Serra

Don Quixote and his servant Sancho wander on their journey across vacant, picturesque lands (there is not a single human construction in the entire film). They are in search of adventure, and as they speak - and remain silent - about earthly, practical matters as well as courtly and spiritual ones, the bond between the men grows.

Honor de cavalleria (also known as Honor of the Knights) is a radical reimagining of Cervantes’s Don Quixote. Albert Serra is original, making no secret of who and what inspired him. His moving, serene 2006 film blurs the line between past and present, as if his characters are caught in a lull between the battles of history and reason.
