International encounter on Virtual Reality

 Why did the SACD decide to organise a European meeting on virtual reality? Principally because this is emerging as a new continent for authors to explore. A new era, marked by immersion and interactivity, has begun. The technology is still dominant, but the major sector players are already investing in content production. Captivating narratives and attractive characters will be essential to the success of virtual reality, as they are elsewhere. Today's authors have the opportunity to make this technology their medium. 

The SACD, which seeks to support authors in all kinds of new writing, has launched a series of meetings – culminating in this day – designed to enable authors to explore and appropriate this new continent.
