Perfumed Nightmare & Who Invented the Yo-Yo? Who Invented the Moon Buggy?

In the presence of Kidlat Tahimik

Filipino Director Tahimik's first film, Perfumed Nightmare (1977), which Werner Herzog once described as "one of the most original and poetic works of cinema made anywhere in the seventies", will be presented alongside Who Invented the Yo-Yo? Who Invented the Moon Buggy? (1979). Tahimik uses the faux–naïf of his characters to create powerful portraits of the American colonization of Filipino dreams. His films manage to create something wholly original and imaginative from the discards of colonialism.
